US Air Force jazz band to tour Poland
A jazz ensemble from the United States Air Forces in Europe Band will tour Poland, the US Embassy in Warsaw wrote on its Internet page.
The tour is to take place between April 17 and 26 in support of the U.S. Mission to Poland’s 100 Years Together campaign that celebrates the people-to-people ties that have united Poland and the United States over the last century, the embassy wrote.
The group will make a special appearance at the international conference to honour Earth Day at the Babia Gora National Park (April 18) before performing in Rzeszow and Krakow. The USAFE band will then perform in Warsaw at the Royal Lazienki Theatre (April 21) and Grudziadz (April 24) before concluding with a grand finale concert at the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall on April 26.
This year’s tour, which takes place during Jazz Appreciation Month, will not only highlight the U.S. Mission to Poland’s 100 Years Together campaign. It will also highlight the 75th anniversary of the USAFE Band’s existence in Europe.
