Polish Senate (upper house) Speaker Stanislaw Karczewski met in the Senate building on Monday with the youth of Polish origin from Latvia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, as part of their ongoing 'Poland is in you' visit to Poland.

The project, financed by the Senate and organised by the Aid to Poles in the East Foundation, was initiated by Poland's national and social institutions engaged in a caring for the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad.

As part of the initiative, aimed at maintaining bonds between young people and their ancestor's homeland, the visitors intensively learn Polish, and learn about Polish cities and the country's history.

Addressing the youth, Karczewski said he was satisfied with the fact that many young people from the entire world want to visit Poland, speak the Polish language, learn Polish history and literature, and speak with their peers in Poland.
