University of Gdansk to host 2019 Global Law Deans' Forum

The Global Law Deans' Forum and the accompanying International Association of Law Schools (IALS) conference will be hosted in Poland for the first time in 2019, at the university of Gdansk in north Poland from September 18 to 22, the university has announced.

Deans and representatives of legal faculties from more than 100 of the best universities in the world will be hosted by the university's Faculty of Law and Administration.

According to university press release the International Association of Law Schools is one of the biggest and most prestigious academic organisations for law. It groups academic and higher education institutions teaching in the field of legal studies. Its membership represents over 160 of the best law schools worldwide, among them the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdansk.

During the Global Law Deans' Forum, law faculty deans will discuss strategic visions and standards for global legal education. Issues will be raised related to the role of universities and the judiciary in shaping legal attitudes.

From September 20 to 22, guests will be able to attend this year's IALS Annual Meeting. They will discuss methodological challenges in teaching law as well as the interaction between the law and business, culture and new technology.
