Unemployment rate to decrease in March-April - labour ministry

After the increase of the unemployment rate in January 2020, the Polish Labour Ministry expects the rate to fall between March and April, Deputy Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Alina Nowak said on Wednesday.

Nowak added that the January fall is a recurring trend, while the forecast for March and April shows that the number of unemployed people will decrease.

According to the ministry's estimate, the unemployment rate rose to 5.5 percent in January 2020 from 5.2 percent a month earlier.
