Unemployment benefit to rise to EUR 262.9 a month plus bonus - PM

The Polish government is increasing the unemployment benefit to PLN 1,200 (EUR 262,9) per month and introducing three months' benefits to the tune of PLN 1,300 (EUR 284.8) per person out of work, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told a Friday press conference.

"We will be raise benefits for the unemployed (...) it will be raised from today's level of PLN 860 (EUR 188.4) to the level of PLN 1,200 and also (...) an additional solidarity cover of three months' benefits for people who are losing jobs now, to the tune of PLN 1,300 for a certain period," the prime minister said.
