Two survive avalanche in Polish Tatras

Two men have survived a Saturday avalanche in the Tatra mountain range in south Poland, PAP learnt from local rescuers.

The avalanche came down around noon on Saturday, its causes are attributed to heavy weather conditions in the upper parts of the range.

The men were found by a helicopter rescue team, both are well and unhurt.

Spokesmen for the local Tatra National Park have warned against tourism in the Tatra range owing to current heavy winds and snow.
