Two miners missing after underground accident
A rescue operation has been launched after two miners went missing after an accident in the Myslowice-Wesola coal mine in southern Poland on Thursday.
"A search for two miners is underway," Polish Mining Group spokesman Tomasz Glogowski said, adding that two other miners who were in the vicinity of the accident site had managed to leave the danger zone.
According to the Mining Office in Katowice, the cause of the accident was a longwall collapse 665 metres below ground level.
