Trade to reopen from February 1, too early for reopening of other sectors
Poland's Ministry of Development has stipulated the reopening of trade, including shopping malls, from February 1. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development Jaroslaw Gowin said on Friday it was, however, too early to reopen other sectors.
"Our proposition (as the Ministry of Development - PAP) is to restore the full availability of trade from February 1, or, simply put, the reopening of shopping malls. Making such a commitment today, as far as other sectors are concerned, would definitely be premature," said Gowin.
Government officials announced that information regarding restrictions that will apply after January 31 would be released next week.
Gowin also reported that, according to estimates from his ministry, the decline in GDP in 2020 amounted to between 3 percent and 3.5 percent.
