He was speaking in reaction to allegations that the late pope may have covered up instances of child sex abuse by priests when he was the archbishop for Krakow. The priest added that people should not replace truth with mythology.

Stanislaw Karczewski, a member of Law and Justice, the dominant party in Poland’s governing coalition, said he would propose a resolution. His call follows allegations that late pope may have covered up instances of child sex abuse by priests when he was the archbishop for Krakow.

Wyborcza.pl – Magda Filiks, an opposition MP, was to be the subject of a political attack in the media owing to her work as a politician, the newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza wrote on Tuesday. In February, Filiks’ 15-year-old son committed suicide after he was identified as a sex-abuse victim following a report by a state-owned radio station. According to the paper, she had been told that somebody wanted to "silence" her.

Rp.pl – The collapse of the Silicon Valley Bank in the US could affect Polish start-ups, the newspaper Rzeczpospolita wrote on Tuesday. The bank was shut down and taken over by regulators last week. The newspaper said that it would make it harder for Poland’s flourishing start-up scene to source investment capital and the sector’s bubble might even burst owing to a lack of money and trust.
