Three Polish regions receive EUR 50 million from EC

The European Commission has granted a total of EUR 50 million to three Polish regions from the Recovery Assistance for Cohesion and the Territories of Europe (REACT-EU) initiative to support health, SMEs and energy efficiency.

The Wielkopolskie province will receive EUR 28.5 million to support the health sector and small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), while the Opolskie province will receive additional resources of EUR 11 million, which will go towards information and communication technologies for SMEs and to digital transition.

The Lubuskie province in western Poland will receive additional resources of more than EUR 10.5 million.

REACT-EU is part of NextGenerationEU, a temporary instrument designed to boost economic recovery, and provides EUR 50.6 billion additional funding (in current prices) over the course of 2021 and 2022 to Cohesion Policy programmes.
