Teatr 21 to cooperate with Germany's Muencher Kammerspiele
In the 2020-2021 season, the Warsaw-based Teatr 21 (Theatre 21) will begin cooperation with the Muencher Kammerspiele, one of Germany's most important theatres.
PAP was told by Jan Drzewiecki of the Teatr 21 Foundation that in its manifesto for the new theatrical season, the Muencher Kammerspiele announced plans to intensify cooperation with artists with disabilities, including Teatr 21.
Drzewiecki said that Teatr 21, whose actors are mainly people with Down syndrome and persons affected by autism, have already performed "on foreign stages," including Berlin, Helsinki, Freiburg and Prague. The Warsaw theatre group regularly cooperates with the European network of theatres "Crossing the Line."
