Support for PM Morawiecki's government falls - poll

Public support for the government of Mateusz Morawiecki decreased by 2 percentage points (pps) to 32 percent in August, a new CBOS poll revealed on Tuesday.

According to the survey, 37 percent of respondents defined themselves as opponents of the government, down by 1 pp from the previous month. Another 25 percent expressed indifference towards the council of ministers led by Morawiecki.

Up to 52 percent of those surveyed feared that the government's economic policy was failing to improve Poland's economic situation, up 3 pps, while 35 percent voiced an opposite opinion, down by 4 pps.

The poll was conducted on August 16-26, on a representative sample of 1,167 adult Poles.
