Support for PM Morawiecki's government at 32 pct - poll

Public support for the government of Mateusz Morawiecki remained unchanged at 32 percent in March, a new CBOS poll revealed on Friday.

According to the poll, 44 percent of respondents defined themselves as opponents of the government, up by 1 pp from the previous month. Another 21 percent expressed indifference to it.

The government’s economic policy got the thumbs up from 35 percent, up by 1 pp from the previous month, while 55 percent disliked it.

The results of the poll show that 39 percent of Poles have hopes for an improvement in the situation in the country under the government, whereas 28 percent are afraid that it will get worse.

The proportion of people happy that Mateusz Morawiecki is the head of the government was 39 percent, while almost every second respondent (48 percent) disapproved of him.

The poll was conducted by means of computer-assisted direct interviews on March 1-11, on a representative sample of 1,154 adult Poles.
