Super gran overpowers armed bank robber by hitting her over the head with walking stick
A 91-year-old woman has been praised for her bravery after overpowering a bank robber armed with a knife.
The sprightly pensioner had been at a PKO bank in the town of Przemyśl when the female robber burst in and grabbed a bank worker by the hair.
Brandishing the knife and threatening to kill, the wannabe crook was demanding money before being handed 12,500 złoty.

The woman replies: “I’m robbing the bank.”

Prosecutor spokeswoman Marta Pętkowska said: “Undoubtedly, in this whole situation, the senior lady who reacted at the right time and thwarted the attack deserves praise.”
