Stylish new dental practice that looks like a café is guaranteed to put a smile on your face
A newly-opened dentist’s in Warsaw combines high-tech solutions with a stylish interior that might lead people to believe that they are at hip café, rather than about to have their teeth checked.
Few people enjoy going to see the dentist – in fact, dentophobia (fear of dentists) is extremely common.
If anything, how most dental practices look adds to these feelings, with their typically cold, clinical feel, dental chair and instruments on display.
So, at the new practice in the heart of the capital, gone are the cold white walls and sterile feel.
Instead, the interior features plenty of wood in a range of warm tones.
The furniture includes armchairs, chandeliers and a raised “common table” with barstools. There is an island with a coffee machine and even a shelf of books.
The resemblance to a café is unsurprising: the interior was designed by Warsaw-based Piotrowscy Design, who did the interiors at coffeeshop chain Green Caffè Nero, which are characterised by a cosy living-room feel with a range of seating options.
Wioletta Januszczyk, Managing Director of Medicover Stomatologia of which the practice is part, said: “The newly-opened centre combines a unique location in historic buildings with modern technologies and tailored programmes offered to patients.”
At the new branch, people can get a “Complete Smile Check” to check the condition of their mouth or, for a high-tech option, the “Digital Smile Design”.
They can stay in touch with their dentist using an app on their phone and communication based on artificial intelligence enables dentists to respond to patients’ needs in advance.
