September's core inflation rate down to 0.8 percent - central bank

Poland's core inflation, excluding the prices of food and energy, measured 0.8 percent year on year in September 2018, down from 0.9 percent in August, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) announced on Tuesday.

September's core inflation excluding fixed prices amounted to 1.9 percent year on year, up from 2.2 percent in August.

Core inflation, excluding the most volatile price items, measured 1.4 percent year on year versus 1.3 percent in the previous month.

The 15-percent trimmed mean inflation measured 1.8 percent year on year in September, up from 1.7 percent in August.

According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), September's prices of consumer goods and services increased by 1.9 percent year on year and by 0.2 percent month on month.
