Ruling party supports President Duda's re-election bid by acclamation
The Political Council of Poland's ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) unanimously supported incumbent President Andrzej Duda's candidacy for the May 10 presidential election, PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński said on Saturday.
The PiS Political Council met in Warsaw just before Duda launched his re-election campaign at noon.
Kaczyński was the first to take the floor at Duda's pre-election convention. Other scheduled speakers include Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Duda.
