Ruling party seals new alliance - unofficial sources

Ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) has sealed a cooperation agreement with the right-wing opposition grouping Kukiz'15, PAP has learnt unofficially.

According to PAP's sources, the details of the cooperation will be presented in the near future.

The talks between both parties have been going on for the past several months. Kukiz'15 hopes the alliance will help it further its political projects, which among others include the introduction of a justice of the peace and stricter anti-corruption laws.

The agreement is also seen as a tactical manoeuvre by PiS in the wake of recent tension between it and junior government parties Agreement and Solidary Poland, who co-form the PiS-controlled United Right coalition. The Kukiz-15 grouping has 4 MPs in the 460-seat Sejm (lower house of Polish parliament).
