Retail sales rise 3.0 pct y/y in February - Eurostat

Polish retail sales grew by 3.0 percent year on year in February 2020 after a 5.2 percent increase in January. Month on month, retail sales fell by 0.2 percent, Eurostat, the EU's statistics agency, said on Friday.

In the euro zone, retail sales went up by 3.0 percent year on year and increased by 0.9 percent month on month in February.

Eurostat annual growth figures are working-day adjusted, while the monthly growth figures are also seasonally adjusted.

Eurostat data also include small companies which employ fewer than ten people - in this case, small family shops - but exclude auto sales.
