Red logo day: Santander changes WBK colours to ‘Spanish Red’
The well-known green and white logo colours of the Zachodni WBK bank are disappearing – and being replaced by red following its takeover by Santander bank.
Bank Zachodni is the third largest bank in Poland in terms of assets.
The Spanish bank redeemed most of the shares in BZ WBK from the Irish AIB for almost EUR 3 billion.
In May this year, a general meeting of shareholders decided to change the bank's name to Santander Bank Polska. The bank's head office was moved from Wrocław to Warsaw.
Santander Bank Polska says that despite the change of name and logo all agreements remain in force and customers won’t need to sign any additional amendments.
Also, bank account numbers, card expiry dates, PIN numbers and passwords for internet and mobile banking services remain unchanged.
