Record monthly sale of government bonds - minister

The Polish government sold bonds worth over PLN 5.4 billion (EUR 1.2 bln) in April, Deputy Finance Minister Pawel Nowak wrote on Wednesday.

Nowak added that April's demand was at a record level and reflects confidence in this form of investing and multiplying savings.

Total sales of T-bonds since the beginning of the year exceeded PLN 12.5 billion (EUR 2.74 bln), or 70 percent of last year's sales, wrote the minister.

According to the Finance Ministry the most popular among investors are 4-year bonds.
