Rating agency S&P keeps Polish GDP decline forecast at 4 pct in 2020

S&P Global Ratings maintained its forecast for the decline in Poland's GDP at -4 percent in 2020, according to a press statement released on Wednesday.

In 2021, S&P sees GDP growth rebounding to 5 percent. This would mean that Poland's GDP per capita would once again grow above USD 15,000.

According to PAP's September consensus, analysts revised upwards their 3rd quarter GDP growth forecasts to -3.8 from -4.3 percent in August. The market expects that in the entire year Poland's GDP will fall by -3.2 percent against -3.8 percent forecasted a month earlier.
