Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki took to social media on Sunday to greet the country's senior citizens on their day.

He wished for the coming years of their lives to be spent on implementing their plans and dreams, to be filled with joy, peace, satisfaction and daily optimism, in the company of their loved ones.

"Today I look at my mother and I see in her a lot of joy and vitality in the implementation of her plans. I remember my late Father, who, despite his illness, was involved in various projects. He was active until the end, and imparted his enthusiasm to others. Our Beloved Seniors! Despite the passage of time, they do not get old. They just don't have time for that! And let it stay that way!," Morawiecki wrote on Facebook.

He appealed to senior citizens to look after their health and safety during the difficult times of the pandemic.

"Keep your health and strength for the coming years," Morawiecki wrote.
