Polish President Andrzej Duda and the presidents of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are on their way to Kyiv to meet Ukraine's President Volodimir Zelensky, Duda's aide told PAP on Wednesday morning.

Jakub Kumoch, the chief foreign policy advisor to the Polish president, said that Poland is organising the trip and, together with Ukraine, ensures its logistics and security.

"The Baltic states are our key partners in security matters in the region... we decided to go to Kiev together. Our goal is to show support to President Zelensky and the defenders of Ukraine in a decisive moment for this country," Kumoch told PAP.

The Wednesday trip is the first visit of the heads of state to the Ukraininan capital since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24.
