Presidential couple arrives in Rome

President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda arrived in Rome on Sunday. They are to be received by Pope Francis at his general audience, presidential top aide Krzysztof Szczerski told PAP.

Duda will meet Pope Francis for the third time. According to Szczerski, the visit is connected with the 40th anniversary of Karol Wojtyła's papal election.

The presidential couple is scheduled to meet the Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin, on Monday. On the next day, they will take part in a Mass at the tomb of Saint John Paul II in St. Peter's Basilica.
