Polish President Andrzej Duda received Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud on Wednesday to discuss economic cooperation, investment and Middle Eastern regional affairs, the President's Office announced in a statement.

The meeting touched on issues of bilateral relations. Among the Middle Eastern matters discussed was the normalisation of relations between some Arab countries and Israel, the President's Office said.

The statement stated that Poland and Saudi Arabia enjoy a tradition of friendly relations. The President's Office added that the visit of Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud fell in the year of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations being established between Poland and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud also met on Wednesday with Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau and the speakers of the Sejm (lower house of parliament) and Senate, Elzbieta Witek and Tomasz Grodzki.
