President Andrzej Duda on Monday in Warsaw met with youth of Polish origin from the East. Adressing his guests in the Presidential Palace, Duda said they were Poland's ambassadors in their respective communities.

The youth diaspora representatives are part of an ongoing "Poland is in you" project sponsored by the Polish President's Office, the Polish Senate (upper house), the Polish Foreign and National Education Ministries, LOT Polish Airlines and the Centre for the Thought of John Paul II.

In his address, Duda called the gathered diaspora young ambassadors of Polishness in their communities, and voiced contentment over the fact that they will now have the opportunity to see more of Poland.

"Wherever you live with the awareness of your Polishness, you represent us and this place between the Odra and Bug rivers, with the Vistula flowing through its middle. A beautiful country which is growing all the time and of which we are proud," Duda said. He added that the "Poland is in you" participants will now have a chance to get acquainted with Poland "in the highest degree," and voiced hope that the guests will strike up interesting friendships during their stay.

Attending the meeting were youth of Polish origin from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Latvia.
