President Duda to pay his first post-relection foreign visit to Rome

President Andrzej Duda will most likely pay his first foreign visit after his reelection, to Rome and the Vatican, presidential aide Krzysztof Szczerski said on Tuesday.
Szczerski told Polish Radio One that he expects the visit to take place in early autumn.
He recalled that during the first presidential debate, Duda said he would like to pay his first foreign visit of the second term, after the coronavirus pandemic, to Rome and the Vatican.
According to Szczerski, Duda's visit to Rome "would be a symbol that Italy, which experienced a difficult pandemic-related situation, was able to overcome it." Szczerski explained that the visit to Rome would also be related to this year's 100th anniversary of the birth of Pope John Paul II.
