Popularity of PM's government remains steady

Support for Mateusz Morawiecki's government increased by 1 percent to 34 percent in May, according to the latest CBOS poll.

In assessing the government's economic policy, in May, 39 percent (up 4 percentage points on April) of Poles believe that it is laying the foundations for an improvement in the economic situation, and 48 percent of respondents were of the opposite view(6 percentage points down on April).

Meanwhile the proportion of people satisfied with the fact that Mateusz Morawiecki is the head of the government stands at 39 percent (no change month on month), while 44 percent (3 percentage points less than in April) disapprove of him as prime minister.

The study "Current problems and events" was carried out as part of the mixed-mode procedure on a representative sample of 1,163 adult Poles on May 6-16, 2021.
