Polish tennis player advances to French Open semi-finals

Polish teenager Iga Swiatek made it to her first Grand Slam semifinal by ending the surprising French Open run of qualifier Martina Trevisan of Italy.
The 19-year-old Pole won 6-3 and 6-1 in the tournament and moved into the semi-finals where another qualifiers awaits.
Polish President Andrzej Duda expressed on Twitter his congratulations to Swiatek on her promotion.
"Bravooooo! We are keeping our fingers crossed for success in the next match! Thank you for the beautiful attitude!" the president tweeted.
Also, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski congratulated Swiatek. "Incredible success of the Warsaw tennis player Iga Swiatek! Congratulations on a great match!" he wrote.
