Polish suspect in Dutch crime reporter's murder in court

A Polish man, one of two suspects in the murder of Dutch investigative journalist Peter de Vries, appeared in court in Amsterdam on Monday.

De Vries was shot on July 6 in Amsterdam shortly after leaving the RTL4 television studio and died of his injuries a week later.

The attacker fired several shots at the journalist from close range.

The two suspects, 35-year-old Kamil E., a Pole living in the Netherlands, and 21-year-old Delano G. from Rotterdam, were arrested shortly after the attack.

Dutch police said the suspected shooter is the Dutchman, and the Polish man is accused of driving the getaway car. Both are charged with murder.
