Polish students win architectural competition in Valencia
Students of the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology (PŚ) in Gliwice, southern Poland, took first and second place in the international architectural competition #ValenciaCall for the design of social housing in Valencia.
Out of more than one hundred works sent in from all over the world, the competition jury judged a work by Paweł Pacak and Katarzyna Ponińska from the PŚ - Casa Espanola - as best.
The winning design was inspired by the nature of a Spanish city and the residents' lifestyle, university spokeswoman Katarzyna Wojtachnio said on Wednesday.
The second best project according to the jury was El Espacio, a design by five other PŚ students.
The #ValenciaCall competition was organised by the 'Start for Talents' portal, which aims to promote architecture.
