Polish prime minister would wish for UK to stay in EU

I would wish for Great Britain to stay in the European Union, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki declared on Thursday, adding that Brexit now requires "creative and elastic solutions" and that the bloc is waiting for proposals from UK PM Theresa May.

Poland's head of government announced that concerning the Brexit, the Visegrad Group of countries (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) as well as Germany have expressed their position that it is "a very bad event for the whole EU."

"But we will honour and respect the decision that was taken in the referendum in Great Britain," Morawiecki stated.

"We emphasise that we all now need creative solutions, flexible solutions, we're waiting for proposals on the part of Prime Minister May, but that creativity is really very important," the Polish PM commented, going on to stress that he "would wish" that Great Britain would remain in the EU. "Of course, the final decision rests on the part of Great Britain," he concluded.
