President Andrzej Duda and his wife arrived in the Kingdom of Belgium on Saturday on a three-day official visit. On Sunday, the Polish presidential couple will attend events marking the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Flanders by Polish soldiers.

On Saturday afternoon, President Duda will meet with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel at Egmont Palace in Brussels.

According to Krzysztof Szczerski, the Polish president's chief aide, the meeting with PM Michel is to focus on the current EU agenda, EU budget negotiations and political priorities of the new president of the European Council since Charles Michel is taking over the post in December.

Also on Saturday, the Polish president and his wife will meet with representatives of the Polish community at the Polish Embassy in the Belgian capital where Duda will award state decorations to outstanding members of the Polish diaspora.
