Polish President Andrzej Duda on Thursday wished Emmanuel Macron after the French president contracted coronavirus.

Recalling his own COVID-19 illness, which Duda contracted in late October, he wished Macron a swift return to full health.

"We are all united in the fight against the pandemic," Duda wrote on Twitter.

The Elysee Palace on Thursday confirmed Macron's coronavirus infection. The French head of state joins a host of other world leaders who have been infected with coronavirus, including the US and Brazilian presidents and the British and Russian prime ministers.
