Polish president, PM and lower house applaud medical staff

Poland today is full of grateful applause for its physicians and medical staff, PM Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on Facebook on Tuesday. He also pledged support for all services employed to combat the coronavirus epidemic.
Morawiecki's words came in connection with Tuesday's World Health Day and the accompanying "Bravos For You" action in gratitude to medical services fighting the epidemic. As part of the action, Poles gave ovations to medical services from the balconies of their homes.
"Today is your day! A day (devoted to - PAP) thousands of heroes who are risking their health and lives daily for the rest of us to be able to stay healthy and remain safely at home (...). Today the whole of Poland is resounding with (...) grateful applause for physicians and medical staff," Morawiecki wrote.
Expressing his thanks to Poland's medics on Twitter, President Andrzej Duda wrote that their efforts made them heroes in the eyes of Poles.
A thank you to all who are saving lives and protecting health, especially at this difficult time. You are our heroes," Duda wrote.
Also the Sejm (lower house) in a Tuesday resolution voiced gratitude to the national medical services and appreciation for their work.
"They set the best example of courage and heroism, and constitute a model for society," the chamber wrote.
