Polish president meets head of CIA

Andrzej Duda, the Polish president, on Monday held talks with William Burns, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the President's Office has reported.

"President Andrzej Duda has received the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency William Burns," it tweeted.

"The meeting was also attended by US ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski, and the head of the presidential International Policy Bureau, Jakub Kumoch," the office added.

US President Joe Biden is scheduled to pay a visit to Poland on Friday and Saturday. He will meet Duda on the second day of the visit and the two are expected to discuss the humanitarian crisis caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
