Polish President Duda to be sworn-in for second term on Aug. 6

Incumbent President Andrzej Duda will be sworn-in for a second term in office on August 6 in front of the National Assembly.

A sitting of both chambers of the Polish parliament has been called by Sejm (lower house) Speaker Elżbieta Witek, head of the Sejm press office Andrzej Grzegrzółka told PAP.

Duda's first term-in office ends on August 6.

Andrzej Duda defeated opposition's candidate Rafał Trzaskowski in the second round of the presidential election on July 12 winning 51.03 percent of the vote against 48.97 percent received by his opponent.
