Polish PM to attend Africa-Europe High-Level Forum in Vienna

Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki is leaving for Vienna later on Monday to take part in an Africa-Europe High-Level Forum on Tuesday, planned to focus on current and future innovation and digital cooperation between Europe and Africa.

The forum is co-organised by the Austrian Chancellor, Sebastian Kurz, and the president of Rwanda, now holding the African Union presidency. It will be attended by African and European leaders, representatives of the world's largest companies as well as the President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani and the EC President, Jean-Claude Juncker.

On Monday evening, after his arrival in Vienna, PM Morawiecki will take part in an official dinner hosted by the Austrian chancellor.

On Tuesday, the Polish prime minister will attend a debate headlined "Taking cooperation to the digital age."

The previous meeting of state and government leaders from the EU and 55 African countries was held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in November 2017.
