Polish PM reveals new gov't line-up Radek Pietruszka/PAP

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki presented on Wednesday the changes to the government line-up.

The ruling Law and Justice party leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski has been appointed as new deputy Prime Minister, Jaroslaw Gowin as new Development, Labour and Technology Minister, Grzegorz Puda as new Minister of Agriculture and Forestry and Przemyslaw Czarnek as new Minister of Education and Science.

Presenting the new line-up of his cabinet, Prime Minister Morawiecki said that the primary aim of the reshuffle is a change of the government's structure.

He added the government's new structure is to better serve decision-making and "in essence, to harmonise certain activities within different ministries whose scope of activities will be enlarged in many areas."

Morawiecki said the changes are to help find the best possible response to challenges related to the coronavirus pandemic and serve economic recovery.
