Polish PM meets with Lithuanian top officials in Vilnius

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki held a meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda on Thursday in Vilnius after which he laid wreaths with Lithuanian PM Saulius Skvernelis at the monument of Polish and Lithuanian heroes at Vilnius's Rasos Cemetery.

Morawiecki also laid flowers at the grave in which the mother of inter-war Polish independence hero Marshal Jozef Pilsudski and the marshal's heart are buried.

Morawiecki started a two-day visit to Vilnius on Wednesday. On Thursday, Polish-Lithuanian intergovernmental consultations will be held, during which it is planned to sign a declaration on a strategic partnership of the two countries as well as on Belarus.
