Polish PM announces Poland's new health minister

To-date National Health Fund (NFZ) head Adam Niedzielski will be Poland's new health minister, PM Mateusz Morawiecki announced on Thursday. Niedzielski will replace former health minister Łukasz Szumowski.

Morawiecki said Niedzielski will continue Szumowski's policies regarding COVID-19 epidemic measures.

Niedzielski holds a Ph.D. in economics. He has worked in the Finance Ministry, the Supreme Auditing Board (NIK) and the ZUS national insurer. He was apponted head of the National Health Fund two years ago.
