Polish pharmaceutical market grows by 7.6 percent y/y in December

The value of Poland's pharmaceutical market grew by 7.6 pct y/y and by 7.9 pct m/m to PLN 3.38 bln (EUR 796,413 mln) in December, 2019, according to a report by pharmaceutical researcher PEX PharmaSequence.

The average Polish pharmacy recorded gross sales of PLN 243,000 (EUR 57,254) in December, 13.6 percent more year-on-year.

The average retail price of a drug amounted to PLN 21.9 (EUR 5.2) in December, unchanged from November and a 4.2-pct increase against December 2018.
