Polish petrol leader maintains stations number at 1,798

Polish fuel leader PKN Orlen maintained the number of petrol stations it operates across Poland at 1,798 at the end of the third quarter of 2020, slightly down from 1,800 at end-2019, the Polish Organisation of Oil Industry and Trade (POPiHN) has reported.
PKN Orlen's smaller peer Lotos operated 510 stations at the end of the third quarter versus 506 at the end of 2019.
Foreign petrol companies had 1,566 stations at the end of September, up from 1,543 at the end of 2019.
Independent operators also added some stations, raising the end-of-September figure to 3,657 from 3,583 at the end of last year.
There were 189 petrol stations owned by retailer chains operating in Poland at the end of the third quarter, down from 196 at the end of 2019.
