Polish flag carrier PLL LOT will be equipped with fifteen new airplanes next year, the Chief Commercial Officer of LOT Michał Fijoł has announced.

"Next year, our fleet will be equipped with four new Dreamliners," Fijoł said at the aviation industry congress in Warsaw. He added that the company is to purchase a total of 15 airplanes, four Dreamliners and eleven Boeing 737 Max 8s.

Fijoł noted that "nearly half of LOT's revenue is generated on other markets, including the United States, Germany, Great Britain and the countries of the Far East."

LOT is 99.85 percent owned by Poland's State Treasury. The company employs almost 3,000 people. In 2017, LOT carried over 6.8 million passengers, 25 percent more than in the previous year. The airline plans to cross the 10 million passenger level by 2020.
