Polish market of organic cosmetics grows - report

The value of the Polish market of eco-friendly cosmetics has increased by 71 percent over the last year, the daily Puls Biznesu wrote on Wednesday citing a study by pollster GfK Polonia.

The result was mostly boosted by consumers who like novelties though on a daily basis are not sensitive to ecology or environmental protection, the report said.

The share of organic cosmetics in the entire Polish market, valued at over PLN 4.8 billion (EUR 1.12 bln) in June, 2019, is only 1 percent, the daily wrote.

"However, it is in this segment that producers have in recent months recorded a significant increase in sales, while the value of the whole surveyed group has dropped by 0.2 percent," Puls Biznesu added.
