Polish labour market down in March - BIEC
The Labour Market Index (WRP), which predicts future changes in the level of unemployment in Poland, fell by 0.7 points to 67.5 points in March, the Bureau for Investments and Economic Cycles (BIEC) said on Tuesday.
The authors of the study have reported visible tendencies to retain employees in anticipation of an improvement in the situation on the market, which is reinforced by protective measures.
"On the other hand, uncertainty, the third wave of the pandemic, tightening of restrictions and weaker economic activity imply job cuts," the analysts wrote.
BIEC reported that in March, four components of the index are conducive to a decline in its value, the impact of two is neutral, and one indicates an increase in the index value.
