Polish investment agency opens office in Astana

The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) on Tuesday officially opened its office in Astana as a Poland-Kazakhstan Economic Forum started in the Kazakh capital on the same day.

PAIH has organised a mission of Polish entrepreneurs led by Deputy Entrepreneurship Minister Tadeusz Kościński.

The Polish companies taking part in the mission represent the cosmetics, food, transport and logistics sectors and will engage in B2B talks with their Kazakh partners, PAP was told by PAIH's deputy president, Krzysztof Senger.

The main goal of the forum is to promote Polish businesses as interesting partners for Kazakh companies, establishing new relations and strengthening economic ties with the Eurasian Economic Union, he added. "We're planning to launch further offices in Central Asia, and our representative office in Tashkent will be opened soon," Senger said.

Among Polish products that enjoy high demand in Kazakhstan Senger named pharmaceuticals, hygiene products and cosmetics.
