Polish Health Ministry denies reports of first coronavirus case

The Health Ministry told PAP on Thursday morning that earlier media reports of Poland's first patient infected with the Chinese coronavirus were untrue.

"We deny the reports on the emergence of the coronavirus in Poland. Please, do not spread any rumours that there is (a case)," Health Ministry spokesperson Wojciech Andrusiewicz told PAP.

Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kryska told the Senate on Thursday that there are 47 people hospitalised due to suspected coronavirus infection, 55 are under quarantine and 1,570 are being supervised.
