Polish government imposes national quarantine
Poland will impose a national quarantine from December 28 to January 17 as a measure against the spreading Covid-19 disease, the Polish health ministry announced on Thursday.
The restrictions impose a closedown of all hotels and skiing facilities, and on New Year's Eve personal movements will be forbidden from 7:00 pm on December 31 to 6:00 am on January 1, 2021.
All shopping centres will be closed, the closedown will not embrace groceries, book and press shops, or pharmacies. Also open will be large free-standing furniture stores. Also closed will be gyms, fitness clubs and aquaparks, restaurants will only be allowed takeaway or home delivery sales.
Travellers to Poland will be subject to a 10-day quarantine.
Minors under 16 will be forbidden to leave their homes without adult care from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Public transport passengers will be restricted to 50 seated or 30 percent of seated and standing room, with at least 50 percent of all seats left unoccupied.
Church services will be restricted to five people, with no more than one person per 15 square metres.
Wedding receptions will be forbidden, household gatherings will be restricted to five guests.
Shoppers will be restricted to one person per 15 sqm, from Monday to Friday shops will serve only senior citizens between 10:00 am and noon.
